Concern over parking for tower restaurant at Zuari bridge

The revolving tower restaurant proposed in the new Zuari bridge installation will require, it is said, a total of 1.25 lakh square metres of parking space on both sides of the bridge in Agassaim and Cortalim. How is the Goa government able to find land for this venture, which is non-essential and non-priority, when it cannot find land for educational institutions like NIT, IIT, etc., as well as industries which will contribute to the economic development of the state?

There is something wrong with the planning process in Goa, which distorts the progress of the State, and everything seems to be done for the tourists, who are essentially a nuisance to the local population, as we have seen lately. If parking is to be provided for the visitors, then the government can consider providing floating platforms on both sides of the bridge where the cars can be parked, saving the land in the process.
