Millions of Indians have lost jobs in the formal sector since April due to the economic stress caused by novel Coronavirus. The government had cited the unprecedented economic crisis behind the job situation in the country.
The private sector is struggling to get skilled workers. The lack of job creation is forcing local youngsters to leave the state or indulge in illegal activities. The faulty employment planning of the government aggravates this problem to a great extent.
The government should take serious steps to make jobs available to the youth as the people are very disturbed due to growing unemployment in the country. Various states, which have seen a massive spike in unemployment are the ones depending heavily on the tourism sector. The industries and government has to sit together to work out a solution.
Current situation is that if one job is created, ten existing jobs are knocked out.
