After Maharashtra decided to go mask free from April 2, Goa is also headed in the same direction. It may be to early let down our guard in the wake of a new variant detected in the UK. As many travel to India and also Goa from Europe, it’s too early to go mask free. The most prudent thing to do would be to wait for another two to three months. The monsoon is fast approaching and we are all aware of rain-related illnesses like cold and fever that are common among children. The idea of going mask free is too early. The State should take the right step at the right time.
