Sometime back a senior BJP Goa minister dismissed criticism that he is collecting money via all his decisions to convert land by ignoring the Regional Plan and confirmed that he already has enough money for himself and his family ; courtesy from his (earlier) paternal/maternal family. There could be some truth in this statement that some Goa ministers might not need the money personally. They actually need it, to contribute to BJP party high command and by doing so get in the good books of the BJP senior leaders from Gujarat, Delhi, Nagpur etc who will in turn return the favour with political “promotions”. As such Goa and its environment are being polluted, destroyed, plundered and ravaged by these Goan ministers to satisfy their ego and personal power ambitions. When will Goans wake up and “smell the coffee”.
