The Director General of Police, Mukesh Kumar Meena should bow down to the overwhelming majority of the people of Goa who do not want the three infra projects from coming up along Mollem and desist from stating that obstruction will not be tolerated.
He should realize that more than half of Goa has overtly or covertly opposed these projects and that at least 75 percent Goans or even more are definitely against these projects.
The pent up energies of the people of Goa have reached tipping point and he should not test the resolve of the people. The DGP would do better to channelize his energy in maintaining law and order in the state than flirting with the sensibilities and resolve of Goans.
He should also understand that in essence, more than half the police force itself is against these projects and that he has to contend with a broken up police force, majority of whom have given moral support against these three projects.
Please don't make contentious remarks that are against the will and wishes of the all-encompassing majority of the people of Goa.
