Let us read this analogy from Swami Vivekanand, who said, "As so many rivers (all religious faiths), having their source in different mountains, roll down, crooked, or straight, and at last come into the ocean. This is what our most loving harmonious Goa is looked at by the world. One wonders, what the foreign tourists who know Goa as one of the most peaceful, kind, loving destiny are trapped in a turmoil with what they see or hear on social media”it is not good for the future or Goa and Goans at large? Religions should be treated like every other ideology that anyone has ever held. We must not forget that we, as Goans of all faiths, believe in a way of life from God and treat religion as one bonded society, celebrating all religious festivals as members of one family. For Goans or any human being, communal harmony refers to the peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among different religious, ethnic, and cultural communities within social stability, which prevents conflict, encourages economic development, cultural enrichment, unity, strengthens identity, and protects human rights and dignity.
