Opposition parties Congress, AAP and Goa Forward are strongly opposing the real estate destruction and particularly land conversion under Sec 39/A by the the BJP but it’s really disappointing to know that these parties are not ensuring the same is opposed in their own backyards. AAP in Benaulim particularly looked the other way on high ticket villa projects with multiple swimming pools (by/for people from outside Goa), Congress ruled bodies in Cuncolim/Chandor passing villa/housing projects and Goa Forward on mega housing projects in Fatorda. Does charity not begin at home ? If these specific opposition parties allow real estate destruction on their home turf, how can they do the same for Goa in general? What am I missing here ?
