Don’t pay bribes to get work done

The main issues affecting the people in Goa are corruption, employment and job scams. These can to a certain extent be resolved by the people themselves.

If people refuse to pay bribes for the work they need to get done then corruption will reduce. The work may get delayed or may not get done but then if the people are steadfast in their refusal to pay bribes, then it will be a temporary setback for work and ultimately it will get done.

So also for government jobs it is said that ministers or officials ask for money. If the people refuse to pay then the government cannot indefinitely keep the posts vacant and they will have to bend down and fill the vacancies.

So also there are accusations that ministers fill up vacancies from their constituencies. Public should resort to protests and civil action so that the ministers desist from such favouritism.

Voters need to start word of mouth campaign!

Just as the political parties are campaigning to ‘fool’ the voters, the latter need to follow suit and expose the misdeeds of the political parties.
