For all the holier-than-thou mouthings of the BJP, it has given a ticket to Milind Naik. He was the MLA accused in the rape of a Bihari woman and also had resigned from his position in the Assembly.
The case is under investigation but this is yet another incident where the BJP is consciously supporting a person accused in a criminal case and that too a crime against a woman.
One can interpret that this must be a policy of the BJP to attract youth. The more nuisance you create against women the more you are valued in BJP!
Again in the case of Babush Monserrate also, both husband and wife have been given tickets despite their criminal case of the Panaji police station attack.
BJP for a party had said 1 family, 1 ticket. Both Babush and the Ranes have broken that rule. Babush is understandable being the one with the money clout and the fact that with any party he has always got his way but the health minister was on his way out after fighting with Sawant and he gets 2 tickets.
