Double-tracking: Govt doesn't care for dissent

Tuesdaymidnight (October 27) works on double-tracking commenced under police protectiondespite strong protests. Agitated groups reached the sites to continue theirprotest. That the government decided to go ahead with the work shows it doesn'tcare about people's views. Onthe contrary, the works are going on full steam. The government wants to covermaximum works before the SC verdict on the 10 defectors. Goans must act now.Citizens from the constituencies represented by the 10 defectors must seektheir resignations before the SC verdict. Cortalim MLA, who has meekly succumbed, should have resigned before the last elections. She must do so now. This is theonly way forward. True Goans in the BJP must tender their resignations or bedamned forever.
