Doubts raised over SIT ability to probe land grabbing cases

The increase in crime rate in Goa is due to bad policing by the police officers. When a common Goan goes to register a case he or she is treated shabbily without any respect even if he or she is  innocent. In order to show the crime rate is down in Goa, police officers don't register complaints fearing their superiors will reprimand them because of the increase in crime rate. This gives a  licence to the accused especially migrants to indulge in more crimes as they are aware that  they will go scot free.

We have seen in the press reports these days that our Goan brethren's land has been looted without their knowledge by land mafias in front of the nose of the government administration and police.

I don't know if the SIT appointed by the Goa government will be able to go to the root cause of land grabbing as these are people appointed from the police and the land departments. There are no persons from crime department and SIT is also not headed by a retired judge. I hope and pray that this land grabbing issue is solved immediately.
