We reads alternatively in local dallies that crime rate against women and children are on the rise. After reading, we say that such crimes were not witnessed in the earlier decades. It is not true. In earlier decades the dress was designed for females was lose to wear. In present decades the dress design to wear in the shape of the human body which exposes the body shape and the dress code plays a vital role in influencing the young/ middle age minds towards committing crimes against women and children. And as such dress code for domestic as well as foreign tourists is a must.
Portraying Goa as the tourist destination to welcome tourists from elsewhere in the country also contributes to crime against women and children. The Government should take initiative in this direction to lay stress on the moral value of women and children in Goa.
