With the failure of the concerned authorities in repairing potholed roads in the State at the appropriate time, precious human lives have been confronted with great risk and danger. The said potholes have been widening day by day and travellers, especially two-wheeler riders are likely to get involved in serious mishaps sooner or later. In Ponda some sections of road have been noticed totally covered with rain water. Of late, PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar has stated that 60 per cent of road repairs were held up due to lack of manpower and material supply. But this cannot be a valid excuse at any instance. Human lives are so precious and need to be assured safety and protection on a permanent basis. During the time of lockdown in the initial stages, even migrant labourers procured commodities of daily consumption from far and wide. Similarly, the State government should procure the necessary manpower and material from some source or the other so that the road repairs are completed on immediate basis. I request the PWD Minister to expedite the same so that public at large remain safe.
