India has been known for corruption for decades post independence with non-BJP parties! It appears that corruption generally runs across politics in India amongst most politicians with exceptions of a few. The glaring example of this is the high number of MPs in parliament with corruption/criminal/terrorist charges. However now this seems to be taking a dangerous turn with the BJP ruling party. Instead of addressing the issue of reducing corruption all over India, the party is selectively only targeting opposition parties but allowing its own MLAs/members/ministers to take corruption to an even higher level. In Goa for example the corruption is now at worst level ever. I hope Indian/Goans realize that by the gradually diminishing freedoms and increasing intimidation, they are feeding an authoritarian power which even those supporting it today can be targeted tomorrow if they disagree with the ruling political party.
