The other day, on 2nd October 2023, Traffic Incharge Police Inspector Tushar Vernekar of Mapusa was seen at the Tar-Moira junction. He was working towards improving both cleanliness and addressing road violations, interacting with the people. On the other side, his men were issuing challans road violators. In addition to cleanliness, the Inspector should also have taken note of the death trap potholes around him and should have reported them to the concerned authority for development.
When the road becomes a nightmare for motorists, issuing challans for road violators can seem like a mockery. In fact, the Traffic police should prioritize reporting these issues to the concerned authorities for development.
