December is one of the most exciting month's of the year when Goans get into the Christmas mood. The churches, streets and houses are decorated with colourful lights, stars, Christmas trees and cribs. The ward people get together and go for Christmas serenade or caroling at every home. Live Christmas crib (Jivo Ghoto) from the parish church visits village wards and pass a joyful message to the people. In the kitchen, our women are busy preparing 'kuswar' sweets like bebinca, dodol, neureos, baath, pinagre, doce, kormola, bolinhas and a Christmas cake to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ. Christmas tree activities like games, star competition ,Santa Claus parade for kids are kept in wards and near the church to entertain the children.
