Goans must now rise and act to save Goa from the decline it is witnessing today. Enough is enough. We must remain vigilant and united in protecting Goa’s unique identity, heritage, and cultural legacy. Forces driven by greed are steadily destroying the beauty and dignity of our beloved land, once proudly known as the “Rome of the East.” Goa must be freed from land sharks, illegal grabbers, corrupt practices, and those involved in scams that have damaged public trust. Our environment, green hills, and agricultural lands are under threat from reckless development and builders interested only in profit. The controversial TCP 39A Act must be denotified, as it undermines the interests of Goans and opens the door for unchecked exploitation of land. This is also a heartfelt appeal to Goans holding Portuguese passports to contribute in every possible way towards protecting Goa. On May 30, Goa Statehood Day, support the statewide movement led by former Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Ferdino Rebello. The time to act is now.
