Goa’s ‘politicalscape’ is yet again bubbling with activities and rumour mills. And at every election time, infighting and dissertations are common occurrences. Election time also proves that politics makes strange bedfellows. In the current political analysis, there is not much scope for the Congress party. Veteran leader Luizinho Faleiro seems to be wounded and there are rumours of him making a switch. The rumours are too strong to be ignored, notwithstanding his stoic silence. Also, Avertano’s visit to his den has fuelled more political rumours and speculations. Then there was this former CM Devendra Fadnavis’s visit to Pratapsingh Rane’s residence which is another talking point for political analysts.
Trinamool Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are becoming forces to be reckoned with and are itching to open their innings in Goa by sailing along with disgruntled elements. The voters, who are not too keen on going with the Congress, or even maybe BJP, will be spoilt for choices. All said and done, parties will definitely look for winnable candidates and those having money power.
In the latest political buzz, the Goa Forward seems to be holding its cards close to its chest, while MGP is thinking hard on its alliance advantage.
