Govt gets double slap from the judiciary

The Pramod Sawant government has deviously made an utter mockery of the entire election process for these panchayat elections. The High Court and later the Supreme Court has seen through the deceitful agenda of this government and has rightly cracked the whip to reinforce the message that enough is enough! By such cheap politriks in trying to find every excuse under the sun to delay these elections, it only demonstrated how low this government can stoop. In fact the government ran out of excuses, unable to invent any more. Even those petitions challenging the rotation of reserved seats was possibly State sponsored.  It is the duty of the government to provide all reservations of seats as mandated by our Constitution of India. But if for some reason the data of a particular community is not available, the elections cannot wait or be delayed because the law requires that they be held on time. In any democracy, elections are a fundamental right of the electorate and denying them  this privilege flies in the face of the rule of law and erodes trust in the government.
