Two men from Rajasthan, allegedly inebriated, were arrested late Sunday night for verbally abusing, threatening, and assaulting police personnel during a drunken brawl at Baga, which disrupted traffic along the busy Calangute“Baga road.Well, the root cause for the rise in such type of ugly incidents (especially in the night) is due to the free availability of alcohol every few metres in the state but no one seems to be really bothered in addressing this serious problem in Goa. I think that until and unless we don't bother to address this serious nuisance creating problem of alcohol first, do not pressurise the government of the day to come out with its own liquor policy and stop it from decorating the state with more liquor outlets every few metres to woo domestic tourists, we should not dream of bringing any improvement but get ready to witness many more such horrible incidents of drunken brawls everywhere & attacks on police personnel in the days to come in Goa.
