Panaji Police have reportedly registered an FIR against opposition MLAs, ex-MLAs, social activists and 450 plus protestors for their participation in the September 19 protest related to the attack on social activist Rama Kankonkar. Police allege protestors rioted, blocked roads & obstructed officials during the march to the CM’s residence and BJP office. Well, the said FIR must have been filed at the behest of CM Pramod Sawant with the sole intention of silencing the voice of opposition MLAs, ex-MLAs, social activists and 450 plus protestors and henceforth discouraging Goans from coming out in large numbers and questioning the government's incompetence over a variety of issues. Looks like CM Sawant was rattled after seeing the unity of opposition party leaders. I think this clearly shows that CM Sawant is not interested in giving justice for Kankonkar or fighting against goondagiri in the state but is more interested in backing all the political godfathers of goons under some pretext or the other and promoting 'goonda raj' in Goa. BJP govt has indeed turned this state into a another lawless state like UP, if not like Bihar and Jharkhand.
