GSPCB nod needed after payment of inspection fee

The Dy Collector & SDO of Pernem Taluka was right in issuing permission from March 1, 2023 to March 31, 2023 for private  entertainment  for less than 50 participants on any given date  during day time provided the noise level does not exceed 55 dB (A) See Rule 7 Action Plan  by the “Authority” under Noise Rules, 2000. The licensing Authority of  the concerned Taluka must ensure that  GSPCB nod is given to the applicant subject to payment of inspection fee of equipment Rs 3,000 paid to GSPCB.  In case of open air venues for more than 50 participants  for public events, GSPCB shall be responsible to install online noise level monitoring, See Rule 7(f) of the Notification issued by the Department of Environment and Climate change, Government of Goa Action Plan. The GSPCB  Chairman have given an undertaking to the High Court  to this effect. The licensing authority of  the concerned taluka must ensure that GSPCB nod is given to the applicant subject to payment of inspection fee of  equipment of Rs 5,000 is paid to GSPCB. Big loss to the exchequer!
