Recently, two world organizations have predicted that El Nino, which affects the weather and rainfall around the world, has started to weaken. By August, La Nina conditions may develop. Indian meteorologists have predicted that this year's rainfall will be better than last year. 70 per cent of India's annual rainfall comes from southwest monsoon. Its share in GDP is about 14 per cent. It provides employment to more than 70 crore people in the country. Also it is pleasant in terms of overall economy.
