High decibel noise late at night should be curbed

After repeated complaints from residents they reduce the noise levels to a certain extent.  Then after a few days they again increase the noise decibels which is unbearable especially when they are close to residential areas should be strictly curbed in the interest of public health and peace of mind. The people of the north coastal belt will express a sigh of relief after learning of the letter from Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant categorically rejecting amendment of the Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules for any further relaxation to any State citing World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.
