Most of the political parties have not given importance to election manifestos. Most of these are just for namesake. A manifesto plays a very crucial role in presenting the vision of a party. Goa being very small, it is easy for political parties to get the electorate involved in formulating the same. But, unfortunately, most political parties do not realise the value of manifestos. Most of the parties seem to be more interested in buying the electorate with money and goodies rather than being vision-oriented. The second question is, how many people actually read the political parties’ manifestos and hold them accountable for promises not kept.
