Illegal appointment in Printing Press?

The government has brazenly appointed an Advisor in the Printing & Stationery department at a monthly salary of Rs 50,000.

The appointment is in total violation and breach of the established rules and norms and has been done with vested motives.

This appointment for an initial six months has been done on a skewed excuse that he would streamline timely publication of the Acts and Rules. As per the Rules of Business of the Goa Government, this task has been solely assigned to the Department of Law and Judiciary and not the Department of Printing and Stationery.

The government as a matter of rule should ensure that there is a total ban on any extensions in service and contract appointments to the retired as every such extension and appointment is a cruel joke and a grave injustice to the youth while it is also a severe prejudice to those unemployed aspiring to join the government service and to the young officers awaiting promotion.

No one is indispensable and steps should be taken well in advance to replace those retiring. There is a need to invest in our youth and give them a chance to deliver.
