It is funny to see how our village panchayat works. In the village panchayat area of Guirdolim, speed breaker signboards are placed near the Chandor school gate, the road which goes to the cemetery and towards HDFC bank. However, there are no speed-breakers on these roads. The same is noticed near the Syndicate Bank. It’s funny to note that where there are speed breakers, there are no signboards and where there are signboards, there are no speed-breakers. The old signboards which are corroded and of no use should be removed. Also, A zebra crossing line is needed near the Chandor church and school so that students and senior citizens can cross the road safely. The village panchayat office and local MLA Yuri Alemao should look into this matter and solve the issue as soon as possible.
