I have noticed that every day, the number of beggars in front of the Panaji church is increasing, and they openly beg even when traffic police are present.
I asked a traffic policeman who was standing in front of them why he doesn’t stop this menace and arrest them in their police jeep to take them to the nearby city police station. He said it is not his job as he has to look after the traffic, and only other policemen can do that.
I have no better solution but to write. Who can remove these beggars from the city? I see them begging and urinating even in the nearby garden every day.
