India needs AI vision at this point of time

The world was chattering about AI for a while, so our PM Narendra Modi and Minister for Information Technology thought it is a good time to do an event on the subject because, events are something that Modi is good at. But this time around, the event was a catastrophic failure. With almost zilch investment done in AI either by the government (which has been busy with building corridors that will take people on spiritual journeys) and no top IT company allocating resources to this emerging sector, it was foolish to think that India will host an event and the world will take notice. Indeed, the world did take notice, of how some participants tried to pull the wool over the eyes of gullible Indians. What is needed at this point of time is vision and all we have is one-sided television coverage.The shameless leaders still managed to visit the expo and do photo shoots while the participants were left high and dry.

There have been reports of match fixing of football matches elsewhere in the world but was unheard of in Goan football until recently.
