On Liberation Day, politicians spoke on how much it has benefited Goans in terms of employment and how much development it has really brought for the State since the last 62 years.
I feel that the only people who have or are still enjoying the real benefits of Goa’s liberation are the non-Goans, land grabbers, builders lobby, drug dealers and not Goans.
Otherwise, why are most Goans (especially from the minority community) still running to some foreign countries to fill their stomachs?
Of course, our politicians have brought huge projects, constructed many four lane roads, fancy bridges and flyovers. But they have done this not to benefit Goans but to bring in hordes of outsiders in the long run in the state and to build their own vote bank.
If Goans really want to liberate ourselves or want to celebrate our Liberation Day in the true sense in future then we need to start another revolution to permanently liberate Goa from the filth of drugs, prostitution, dance bars, casinos and all other alcohol-related activities at the earliest.
