The online editions of newspapers say that 78 MPs have been suspended on December 18 from Parliament setting a record of sorts.

When the earlier batch of 15 MPs were suspended Birla had come with the puerile reasoning that the suspension had nothing to do with the protests by the MPs about the security breach.
Is Birla a schoolmaster to set codes of conduct for the MPs? With the enmasse suspension of the MPs then there would be no debates, no discussions, no protests and this will allow all Bills to be passed unanimously.
Then Indian Parliament will set the record of being the most efficient in the world. Modi would have thus led the world on yet another parameter but democracy in India would have touched its nadir under him.
