It’s time Goans show morality!

Liquor companies resort to surrogate advertising. This has led to a drastic increase in liquor addiction by minors. The youth in Goa do not exhibit any inherent decision making and move with the tide so long as they can ‘enjoy’.

Alcohol consumption at young ages leads to alcohol abuse, cutting short of studies, failures, and suicides. That is why there is a law banning the advertising of liquor.

These same youth identify themselves with the liquor ads. On ‘responsible drinking? Not at all. They are showing they are controlled by the liquor companies. If the ‘responsible drinking’ ads catch your attention then boycott liquor companies resorting to surrogate advertising for a year and force them onto the morality tracks.

Goans acceptance of such surrogate advertising has prompted some parties to ‘surrogate bribing for votes’ in the form of freebies.

Here too one must tread the moral grounds and not let others control you. Like alcohol addiction, this kind of voting too has damaging future costs.
