The joggers' park at Chicalim is a welcome addition to the public facilities in Vasco. The entire Chicalim area is developed with buildings and housing societies and there is no place to breathe open air for the residents. But the local MLA with the help of the Comuninade and the village panchayat has added a beauty to the Chicalim area in the form of the park and its amenities.
The 32,000 sq ft park has a mahila bhavan for women to showcase their products and will be trained to produce items of requirements and have weekend sales of the same. The children will enjoy all the activities and the youth will have a centre to do physical activities and exercise. The park is also equipped with a health centre which will hold talks and yoga activities. The park also has facilities for children with games and activities.
The park is located a few metres away from Salgocar Hospital and is a one-of-its-kind facility, which the people of Mormugao, Vasco and Dabolim will enjoy.
