Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday questioned the judiciary for setting a timeline for the President to take decisions and act as a 'super Parliament', saying the Supreme Court cannot fire a "nuclear missile" at democratic forces.
Now, which democratic forces is Dhankhar talking about? The divisive forces which are currently seen sitting in Parliament, behaving like big dictators, making the wrong decisions, and desperately trying to divide the citizens, if not break this country based on religion?
Of course, we all know that the President of India takes an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. But is the current President seen abiding by the same oath and taking the right decisions as per her own conscience to defend the Constitution in the interest of the nation? Absolutely not. On the contrary, she is seen acting like a helpless rubber-stamp President, if not a puppet of the ruling government at the Centre, blindly making decisions in favour of the government to enjoy her own 'achhe din' in our country.
Well, the Supreme Court has done the right thing by pulling up the current President of India and directing her to make the right decisions in a time-bound manner on certain issues, i.e., bills referred by Governors of states, etc., in the interest of the nation. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar should stop behaving like a BJP spokesperson and instead learn to accept the decisions of the Supreme Court like a liberal-minded modern leader who respects his own post.
