Kudos to 'The Goan' for highlighting the sorry plight of the inmates of the Anganwadi at Bagwada- Khandola.  The concerned authorities  had to pull up their socks and provide immediate electricity connection to the students/staff of the Anganwadi who literally sweated it out in the cruel summer for six long years. Keep it up Sir.  Bravo! More power to your pen!

Power shutdowns too regular to be justified

Just two Sundays back , the entire Bardez taluka was without power due to the shutdown  called for maintenance works at a few substations. Although the shutdown was announced to last from 6 am -12 noon, power was restored only around 2 pm, Surprisingly, the Electricity dept, has now announced another major shutdown on Sunday June 11, from 6.30 am to 12 noon. for maintenance works at the Tivim sub-station.
