Kudos to The Goan and its coverage of Monte illegalities

It was pleasant and heartwarming to see The Goan ask direct questions to all the responsible authorities about the illegal structures mushrooming on the Margao Monte Hill. This is a question that many Madgavkars and Goemkars have been asking for many years, however, had never got proper representation from, either the powers to be, or the media to some extent. Politicians, specially one particular MLA always played “The covert Godfather” to these illegalities. However, the last Lok Sabha elections may have given him something to ponder about. I hope and pray that the media plays its role in addressing crucial and critical issues facing Goa and begins to re-gain people's trust in the 4th pillar of our democracy. The Goan has led the way on many issues in the recent past, especially about Margao and its surrounding areas, and hopefully brings more and more issues to the fore. Kudos and thanks to Guilherme  and The Goan.
