Lack of civic sense: A growing concern

As I go about my daily routine, I am often disheartened by the blatant disregard for civic sense displayed by a significant majority of Indian citizens. It is disconcerting to witness the sheer lack of awareness and consideration for others in our daily interactions. One of the most visible manifestations of this issue is littering. Roads, public spaces, school premises, and even tourist spots are strewn with trash.  Another example that hits close to home is the chaotic parking situation. As a parent who drops my child to school every morning, I frequently encounter parents who park their vehicles haphazardly outside bakeries, causing traffic congestion and potential accidents. The narrow roads in our area exacerbate the problem, making it a daily struggle for others to navigate through. Furthermore, the lack of respect for queues and personal space is alarming. In diners, cafes, and supermarkets, people often disregard the simple courtesy of waiting for their turn, rushing to counters and disregarding others. I urge citizens to reflect on their actions and consider the impact on those around them. It is essential that we work collectively to promote civic awareness and responsibility.
