Lax security and GPS device on airplanes

An Italian passenger was held at Dabolim airport as he was carrying a prohibited GPS device which was revealed during a routine screening of the baggage. He was to travel from Goa to Chennai and thereafter to Colombo.  In the first instance how did he manage to bring the GPS device into India as his baggage would have been scanned even if he had walked through the green channel at the port of entry? Or did he buy it in elsewhere in India before coming to Goa or bought it here? Generally, the CISF at the airports are thorough in screening the passengers and baggage but the security at the airport from where the Italian had boarded seems to have been lax and for some reasons the device was undetected. The poor guy was perhaps unaware of the rule of carrying GPS in flights was prohibited else he would have travelled by train or bus from Goa to Chennai. And no one would have been the wiser!

Overhead water tanks must at marketplaces

It is learnt that despite an inspection of potential sites for the overhead water tank at the marketplace in Margao ten months ago, the authorities have reportedly failed to expedite work on the project till date.
