Leaders need to be sensible

We seem to have a loose cannon as our CM,every other day he makes or reiterates controversial statements to deflect attention off crucial issues. A couple of days back he spoke shout wiping out the Portuguese legacy, yesterday he said with false conviction that ‘outsiders’ are responsible for most crimes in the state. Arrey, what is this ‘outsider’ tag ? We are all citizens of one country and Goa is not a separate nation.

According to the CM, niz Goenkars are only involved in civil disputes while outsiders come to the state to commit murders; when asked to name the states where these criminals come from he clammed up.

He in fact put the onus of reducing crime in the state upon it’s denizens, what is the police then doing? Goa police has a crime detection rate of 94% according to the CM, by that yardstick we Goans should not worry about anything and sleep in peace. But the situation on the ground is far different; with most police personnel being posted on VIP duty, there are very few left to actually tackle crime in the state. The sarkar can not wash it’s hands off it’s commitment and please...no irresponsible statements Mr. CM, you are going to vitiate interstate relations by shooting your mouth off.
