Lonavala deaths highlight dangers at waterfalls

A family of nine including four children were washed away at Lonavala site. The family in order to enjoy rains and beauty of flowing water landed amidst rocks. When the family climbed on the rocks the flow of water was normal but suddenly due to heavy rains and overflow of dam water the water current first washed away 3 members and later the remaining too. The video has become viral on WhatsApp and You Tube  and many of those present nearby tried to save them by cutting branches of trees but same couldn't reach the spot where family was trapped on the rock.The site was declared as danger zone by the authorities but the family did not heed the same and an entire family was lost. The rescue team of Navy and others could trace 4 members so far and search is on for remaining members. The incident took place near Bhusi Dam located at Lonavala. The said incident is lesson for nature lovers that nature cannot be taken for granted as it takes its own course.

End stray dog menace for safety of public

The street dogs menace is on the rise in the State and it has become dangerous to the people who walk on the streets and for the people who rides two wheelers. Most of the pet owners are not taking their dogs for any vaccines at the animals health centre which is becoming a risk to others when they bite them for various reasons. There is no one to take care of the street dogs and the sickness, with mad dogs biting other dogs and then the virus like rabies goes on spreading.…
