The street dogs menace is on the rise in the State and it has become dangerous to the people who walk on the streets and for the people who rides two wheelers. Most of the pet owners are not taking their dogs for any vaccines at the animals health centre which is becoming a risk to others when they bite them for various reasons. There is no one to take care of the street dogs and the sickness, with mad dogs biting other dogs and then the virus like rabies goes on spreading. Now the August month for dogs is approaching soon. Rabies is a deadly virus spread to people from saliva of infected animal like dog transmitted through a bite. It attacks brain and spinal cord. We should take good care of our pets by taking them to the doctor time to time so that they are healthy in our society. The Animal department, Village Panchayat office, municipality office and the government should make efforts to stop dog menace for the safety of public.
