Tinted glasses, noisy, speeding vehicles, driving on the wrong side, carrying triple seats, and riding without helmets, especially on internal roads after 6:00 PM, are rampant on Navelim streets. For senior citizens, this poses a constant nightmare. It’s been my experience that seniors and the unwell often express frustration and curses after these vehicles pass by.
Is this considered a good gesture? My sincere advice to the concerned authorities is to deploy police presence. While it’s commendable that police would be stationed at school premises, their role should be proactive, not merely that of spectators standing under trees or bushes.
