The residents of Saligao and Cacora have reportedly expressed serious concerns about the huge quantity of wet waste that is being transported to Saligao and Cacora waste treatment plants. And they have rightly asked as to why they alone should continue to bear the brunt for the mismanagement of the Margao Municipal Council. Unfortunately, the government seems to be hell bent on ignoring their concerns and making their life miserable by still allowing the MMC to casually transport the Sonsodo wet waste to the Saligao and Cacora waste treatment plants instead of coming out with a permanent early solution to this serious garbage issue in Goa. I think that the government of the day should henceforth stop wasting crores of rupees unnecessarily in organizing it's own numerous useless self-glorifying events in the state and instead should spend the same money to set up mini garbage treatment plants in all the villages on top priority basis to treat their respective wet waste at such plants to permanently sort out this serious garbage problem.
