It was a kind gesture by the family of the labourer who died in an accident as his wife decided to donate his organs at GMC. However, the family is facing an uncertain future as the breadwinner has passed away. This raises a serious question”what support will the wife and children get?
The Human Rights Commission should ensure that the wife is given a decent, permanent job, considering she has children to care for. The biggest loss here is that the family’s earning member is gone. Whether in Goa or Jabalpur, the wife must be provided a job.
Also, why should the Health Minister offer aid from his personal trust? Is there no value for the sacrifice made by the deceased’s wife? Everyone wants credit, but in the end, she is given only peanuts.
