The SP of Goa has decided to deploy around 800 police personnel across the state on upcoming Christmas and New year Eve. It was decided to identify more of parking lots and take action on traffic rule violators. Goa is known for the flow of tourist in the month end of December and New Year Eve. Keeping in mind the vehicles on the road and for smooth traffic flow the department has realised the need of traffic personnel on roads especially during three-day Sunburn festival from December 28-30. During last one month the state has become accident hub and many have lost lives in accidents. In order to prevent such incidents the state requires more traffic police to control the heavy traffic and to take strict action. Today many tourist prefer to come with their own vehicles and some take on rent from rent a bike or car to tour as per their convenience. The police and also the lifeguards on the coast will have be on their toes to keep a watch on roads and beaches. More lifeguards will be deployed by Drishti in the month end. Hope with such measures the traffic flow at year end will be smooth to welcome New Year.
