No political outfit should try to rewrite history

It has been noticed that vested interests are trampling on the portrayal of history in its true perspective. In the light of the manipulative tendencies of those seeking to modify history to suit their causes, misrepresenting the true facts, the print media should act as custodians of the true reporting of historical facts, which are now being given communal overtones much against the actual true facts that had occured. It would be in the fitness of things that the print media publish on an everyday basis balanced views that reflect the true history as the print media both in English and Marathi have the ability to influence readers and thus report, not vested interest views that may even be those of the ruling party, but be the filters of the propaganda that is whipped up in the name of history, which is actually not the case. Several such cases in the present time have been published to appease the ruling party and to deliberately misreport the true facts.  Even well known historical authorities are being challenged by those who seek to divide society in a malevolent manner.
