Noise pollution in Goa which is a tourist destination is a very common occurrence. It's almost every day that there's an event taking place with loud EDM and a huge crowd. The specific complaint about noise I'm writing about is at the core of Mapusa, during EDM events like Masquerade, Carnival, music events etc. All these events go on till late at night, which are often very loud and cause a lot of inconvenience to the people residing in the surrounding areas. The music and band can be heard all the way to Dattawadi where there is a educational institution which caters to around 4,000+ students, higher secondary included. As a resident who lives in the area, I often experience insomnia (lack of sleep) and the loud music does not help my sleep, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who feel the same, especially the senior citizens, mentally unwell, sick people and the people working 9am to 5pm jobs. Despite regulations prohibiting loud music after 10 pm, we still experience disturbances which cause noise pollution. I would like the responsible authority to look into this matter.
