In a move which will create more angst among the minority community and deepen social fault lines the Allahabad High Court recently approved a plea for setting up a commission for a court mandated survey of the Shahi Eidgah mosque premises next to the Krishna Janmbhoomi temple in Mathura.
India is home to @ 30 lakh temples, we Hindus say that every house is a temple, every heart is a temple. How many more temples do we need to pray? Why does the majority community seek it's Gods in the prayer houses of the minority community? How long can we keep claiming that the Mughals destroyed numerous temples to erect mosques and seek retribution?
Instead of a society living in harmony where all faiths are allowed to practice their religion, we have become a dehumanised brute majoritarian State. More than high time we pushed back against these divisive politicians.
