The World Health Organisation has expressed concern about Omicron, which unlike Delta’s two mutations has more than 30. About 1000 passengers from South Africa and some other countries have landed in Mumbai in the last 19 days. The government has to put in strict measures to contain the spread of this Covid variant. Citizens also need to heighten their vigilance. It is important to always wear a mask, keep social distance, wash hands frequently and use a sanitiser. These are things which the world is used to and one must continue with this protocol. Coronavirus cases are now declining in the country. This is not the time to let our guard down.
