‘Bailo Lok Goenkar Zata’ a meaningful song sung by well-known artist late M Boyer today rings alarm bells across the State for every Goan.
Goans with their sussegad attitude till today are least interested in the welfare of the State and one can still find huge crowds at the Portuguese Consulate.
Perhaps this is the reason, these ‘baile lok’ have taken advantage and are still taking advantage of the situation in Goa -- grabbing land, building houses and starting their own business.
Land has been purchased on main roads and highways by these outsiders who have started their own businesses.
It is a shame to see us Goans still fighting among ourselves over land and other petty issues.
The problem with Goans is unity and this is evident even during elections where politicians play the divide and rule game.
Today, Goans may be fighting to save land for our future generations but that is not enough.
Also, blaming politicians for all the ills in the State is not correct. It’s time we unite and save Goa for posterity.
